École française d’Athènes (EFA),  9-13 May 2016

The Doctoral Workshop « History – Histories of the Mediterranean / Story – Stories in the Mediterranean » (French School at Athens in collaboration with The Institute of Historical Research), will take place within the framework of the international research network Ramsès. The Doctoral Workshop offers an international framework for exchange and discussion of analytical and methodological issues on the Mediterranean. The aim is to question how researchers engage in a multifaceted approach of the Mediterranean, as a historical and geographical entity, as an object of historiography, and/or as an analytical category.

 

Applications

Open to doctoral students in social sciences and humanities of any nationality, enrolled in a doctoral program for more than 6 months.

Organisers will cover expenses in whole or in part, depending on the case (travel, accommodation and catering costs).

Deadline for proposals : 20 january 2016

– Presentation of the candidate’s work (1 to 2 pages): thesis project, theoretical or empirical article, case study, literature review, methodological or epistemological approach.
